When a violent fire ravages Lillevangskolen, Jonas, 12, and his former friends are taken in for questioning by the police. They are the main suspects in the case, but Jonas does not understand anything. He is one hundred percent sure that he is innocent in the case, but when he is suddenly told that there is a video of the fire with their voices on their old YouTube channel, he has to think back and dig deep in what has preceded. Police later announce that the girl Carla - Jonas' classmate - has been found, handcuffed at the school. Carla has been the school's victim of bullying for as long as Jonas can remember. And especially an episode where the boy Andreas set fire to her sweater has left its mark on Jonas. Jonas is therefore rationalized to the conclusion that it is probably Andreas who is to blame. However, Jonas gets something of a surprise when the police announce that Carla from her hospital bed has said that Jonas is the culprit. Now follows a giant mystery where Jonas must follow his own head or heart, as well as understand his own guilt in it all.
