'A New Kind of Wilderness' and DR Sales headed for Hot Docs
Next up for the touching documentary is the Canadian Premiere at the esteemed Hot Docs Documentary Festival, taking place from April 25th to May 5th.
After winning the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance and the main prize at the HUMAN Documentary Festival in Norway, 'A New Kind of Wilderness' has participated in prestigious festivals Thessaloniki, CPH:DOX, Docville, One World, Visions du Réel and will soon be travelling to DOK.Fest Münich and Millenium Docs Against Gravity with many more to come. Produced for NRK, DR and SVT, the documentary is picked up by broadcasters and distributors in Germany and France (ZDF Arte), the Netherlands (Cinema Delicatessen), Belgium (Dalton Distribution), Poland (Millenium Against Gravity), the Baltics (Kino Pavasaris), Japan (Stardust), Angel Films (Denmark), Smorgasbord Picture House (Sweden), RÚV (Iceland) and Filmin (Spain). At Hot Docs, 'A New Kind of Wilderness' will screen twice within the 'Persister' programme, showcasing outstanding documentaries from around the world: Friday May 3rd 5 PM at TIFF Lightbox 2 Sunday May 5th 4.30 PM at Scotiabank Theatre 7
