Prix Italia winner 2023

This Friday DR Drama's 6 x 58' series PRISONER won the prestigious Prix Italia Award for Best TV Drama at the award ceremony held in Bari, Italy. We are so incredibly happy and humbled by this great honor. PRISONER competed against splendid series from all over Europe including the finalists EXTERIOR NIGHT from Rai and I AM RUTH from CH4. The jury’s motivation for choosing PRISONER: “A visceral and compelling portrait of the reality of life in prison, with a strong ensemble cast, dynamic shooting and editing style, and a story offering a broader metaphor for the injustices widespread in modern society”.
