For Evy & Always

Evy is in her late 20s and has just finished her master’s degree in Bergen, Norway. On her way to move to Paris with her boyfriend, Evy returns to her hometown, Sandnes, to be the maid of honor in her best friend’s wedding – only to see her own relationship end. Stuck in Sandnes, the hometown she was desperate to get away from, she rekindles old friendships, makes new ones, and ponders her future. In her grandmother’s defunct dress shop, Evy gets to work applying for a doctorate at the local university. But the old dresses and the old sewing machine seem to beckon more than her laptop and the prospect of a future in academia. With her grandmother’s blessing, Evy starts to help odd couples with their wedding plans as well as giving old dresses a new life. Slowly, Evy realizes that having her roots in Sandnes isn’t that bad after all and that she is the master of her own future.
