Info

Lisa is a hardworking narcotics investigator in Oslo, whose life falls apart when her husband Jostein disappears during an undercover operation while working on a high-profile drug case. Lisa goes on sick leave and is forced into therapy for her anger issues. To top it all off, her demented mother, Signe, can’t get a spot in a nursing home, so she has to move in with Lisa. Despite everyone around Lisa believing Jostein’s disappearance was an accident, she can’t come to terms with it. Someone is lying. She is convinced that Jostein’s disappearance and the so-called “Marko case” Jostein was investigating are connected. When she witnesses a botched interrogation of Marko himself, led by the younger “up and coming” officer Aila, Lisa takes matters into her own hands. It doesn’t end well for both Aila and the interrogation. Lisa’s boss, Ole, is far from impressed and demotes her. By chance, in her new gloomy work environment, Lisa stumbles upon Shirouh, a small-time wannabe stand-up comedian who has just witnessed a murder... of Marko. Now they must help each other to help themselves. PIGGY is a crime comedy with a rich character universe and a strong female lead with a masculine core. Lisa has a heart that cares for those she loves... and fists that beat up those she’s less fond of.
